Anger is a coal that satan throws into the human heart." Narrated by al-Tirmidhi

The advice of our Prophet (SAWS) was do not be angry.

A man came to the Prophet (SAWS) and said, "Admonish me." β€œThe Prophet (SAWS) said: Do not be angry.

Our beloved Prophet (SAWS) described what anger means to our life : "Anger is a coal that satan throws into the human heart." Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, in his book Fitna, in 2191.

How perfectly words are placed in this hadith, it is the bitter truth of how we can see signs of anger on our faces. SubhanAllah.

Coal inflames the heart and therefore the face of the angry one becomes red and the veins tense. Sometimes the hair is tangled. It's such a different feeling that a person can suddenly lose his control. Now, can we all daily try to not be angry or can we apply what our deen teaches us?

My dear sisters and brothers in Islam, of course we can not find anyone who is always calm or who is always patient. But are we trying to be patient? Or do we even try to ponder before saying something?! It is normal, including me, it can happen to us, sometimes we are saying so many things when we are upset, after few minutes or hours we regret it, isn't it? But we cannot repair what is once broken, it always leaves a mark.

Thus, anger causes many complications. How many people get angry and say divorce (i.e, I divorce you) and ask questions about it? Some angrily say, "I swear to God I won't say anything." After saying that, he regrets and comes and asks questions. Or someone maybe your close neighbour or relatives who hurt you so much, you want to overlook but you are heart broken and angry and you cut all ties with them, is it  a solution? Of course not!

Anger is one of the evil whispers of Satan, which leads to so many evils and tragedies, of which only Allah knows their full extent. For this reason islam has a great deal to say about this bad characteristic, and the Prophet (SAWS) described cures for this "disease" and ways to limit its effects, among which are the following:

Seeking refuge with Allah from the Shaytaan:

Sulayman ibn Sard said: "I was sitting with the Prophet SAWS and two men were slandering one another. One of them was red in the face, and the veins on his neck were standing out. The Prophet SAWS said,β€œ I know a word which, if he were to say it, what he feels would go away. If he said "I seek refuge with Allah from the Shaytaan,"

I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan

what he feels (ie, his anger) would go away. '' (Reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, 6/337)

Another big solution is Keeping silent -how?

The Messenger SAWS said: "If any of you becomes angry, let him keep silent." (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, al-Musnad, 1/329; see also Saheeh al-Jaami ', 693, 4027).

Our silence holds more power than the words we can use angrily.

Everyone gets angry, it is normal. Listening does not mean to stay angry, but to overcome his anger. Those who abide by the orders of our Creator and stay away from the prohibitions of the deen, overcome their anger with patience, those people are successful in duniya and aakhira.

Once again we realize, Islam teaches us what to do and how easily our life can change its course to the most suited path. Our religion doesn't dictate what is impossible to do.

It was declared in a Hadith Bukhari: Allah makes those who persevere to be patient succeed in patience.

Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) - Verse 153

Let's recite this verse to have patience and get rid of your anger

"O those who believe, seek the help of patience and prayer , for Allah is with those who are patient"

"O you who believe! Seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer). Truly! Allah is with As-Sabirin" (the patient ones, etc.)
