Today's reflection [Ayah 18, Surah Al-Baqarah]
Ψ΅ΩΩ
ΩΩ Ψ¨ΩΩΩΩ
Ω ΨΉΩΩ
ΩΩΩ ΩΩΩΩΩ
Ω ΩΩΨ§ ΩΩΨ±ΩΨ¬ΩΨΉΩΩΩΩ
βDeaf, dumb and blind β so they will not return [to the right path]". (2:18)
In this present ayah we see how Allah gives additional characteristics of the hypocrites. In previous ayah they were enlightened, but Allah took their light. Now lets imagine a person who is deaf, blind and dumb, Can he be guided? Not at all. Over here Allah says they are Ψ΅ΩΩ ΩΩ (deaf). Why? Because they donβt hear the truth (of Islam), Ψ¨ΩΩΩΩ Ω dumb hence they cannot say the words that might benefit them in this world and the hereafter. ΨΉΩΩ ΩΩ blind -they are far away the noor (light of Islam) ,in total darkness. And we see at the end of the ayah Allah says,They will not return Ψ± Ψ¬ ΨΉ (it means go back where person came from) to the right way. Over here it can be understood munafeqoon will not come to the path of guidance. Why? Because they will never realize their shortcomings. Whatever theyβre doing, for them it is correct .They are not guided at all .Every door of guidance is closed for them. They were hypocrites in their hearts, however they pretend to be Muslims, Allah surely knows their reality.
As many people in the world who are deprived of the Islamic teachings are like this, they will be subjected to a similar punishment in the hereafter. The verse βWe will burn them on the Day of Judgment as blind, dumb and deafβ (Surah Isra 17:97) confirms this fact.
They said to Allah Allmighty: βMy Lord! Why did you revive me blindly? However, I was someone who saw with my eyes in the world.
βNot every man with a heart is understanding, not every man with eyes is able to seeβ. Ali(RA)
After this ayah can we ponder ? Do we see our own faults, if not, Why? Is it harder than not pondering at all ? Dear sisters and brothers in Islam, when we do not recognize our mistakes, we do not repent, we do not reform, we do not leave our sins rather we become deaf and blind to guidance.π₯Ί
O Allah! As we journey through the Quran, give us the ability to recognize our mistakes, admit them, acknowledge them ,show us the way so we do not get lost or go astray. Ameen

Allah will say, "Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten."(Surah Taha 20 : 125-126)Therefore, on the day of Resurrection, they cannot hear the word of Allah, cannot be complimented, and cannot watch Him gather the nations together for judgement.
Indeed, He is Knowing of that which is within the breasts.( Quran 67:13 )βNot every man with a heart is understanding, not every man with eyes is able to seeβ. Ali(RA)
