Today's Reflection [Ayah 13 , Surah Baqarah]



وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ اٰمِنُوۡا كَمَاۤ اٰمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُوۡاۤ اَنُؤۡمِنُ كَمَاۤ اٰمَنَ السُّفَهَآءُ​ ؕ اَلَاۤ اِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ السُّفَهَآءُ وَلٰـكِنۡ لَّا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‏
Whenever they are told: “Believe as others believe,”13 they answer: “Shall we believe as the fools have believed?”14 Indeed it is they who are the fools, but they are not aware of it. (2:13)

And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they don’t know (it ).
Allah the Mighty wants for all of mankind to be guided to the straight path and to possess good manners. It was for this reason that He has sent to them His messengers and our beloved Prophet (SAWS).
In this ayah, we see a clear instruction to those people, who are unaware,  arrogant,  lie and are hypocrites (munafiqoon).
“Believe as the others believe "( كَمَآ -Just as , Just like). It refers to our Rasool (SAWS) and his companions. Their imaan was true and sincere. They were people who recognized the truth and adhered to it without any guesses.
When it was told to them believe as others believe, yet the hypocrites answer sarcastically and said : Should we believe as *fools * السُفَهَآءُ*. A fool is the ignorant, simple-minded person who has little knowledge about what is of benefit and harm to him.
The Sahaba (companions of the Prophet SAWS) were foolish to them, Why? Because the sahaba didn’t lie, they spoke the truth! Just like today, if a person speaks the truth, adheres to truth, he is considered foolish. For the hypocrites they think how a person can believe in the unseen? How can they follow a human being (Prophet Saws). Because of their blind ignorance they walked in so many doubts. What was their  purpose? Getting gains only in this dunya(world). But what about the believers? Surely for akhirat (hereafter). Over here we can see apparent differences between the believers and the hypocrites.
At the end of ayah Allah says: “ Unquestionably, they,themselves are the fools, but they don’t know” . Because, they don't see what is useful or beneficial for them. Allah has opened their reality by calling them fools. They went astray (Indeed they are daalleen)
Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them.(Al Quran 4:145)

  He, who wishes to enter paradise at the best gate, must please his father and mother. (Bukhari & Muslim) This, very simple Hadith, has so much weight. Pleasing our parents does not only bring happiness to us in this duniya but also gives us great rewards in the aakhira. Part of the perfection of a person’s Islam is his leaving that which is of no concern to him

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “ Part of the perfection of a person’s Islam is his leaving that which is of no concern to him ” A hasan hadith.
