If Allah wants to do good to somebody, he afflicts him with pain.

Sahih al Bukhari 5645 If Allah wants to do good to somebody, he afflicts him with pain. How often do we think a calamity, a trial is good for us? In this hadith our Rasool (S.A.W) says when Allah wants khair for you, when He wants to do good for you that is when you are afflicted with trials. How can trials be good for us? Whenever we are going through some stress or difficulty in any way be it physical, mental, financial etc. some of us just lose hope, go further away from deen (this is not what Allah wants us to do , this is what shaytaan wants us to do) And some of us get closer to Allah by seeking his help, by trusting His decree, By relying solely on Him. Subhan Allah.   When struck with a calamity, firstly endure patience and Thank Allah, things could have been worse, there are people suffering in more ways than you. Secondly, endure patience and thank Allah as He choose to erase some of ...

Today's Reflection [Ayah 13 , Surah Baqarah]

وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ اٰمِنُوۡا كَمَاۤ اٰمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُوۡاۤ اَنُؤۡمِنُ كَمَاۤ اٰمَنَ السُّفَهَآءُ ؕ اَلَاۤ اِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ السُّفَهَآءُ وَلٰـكِنۡ لَّا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‏ Whenever they are told: “Believe as others believe,” 13 they answer: “Shall we believe as the fools have believed?” 14 Indeed it is they who are the fools, but they are not aware of it. (2:13) And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they don’t know (it ). Allah the Mighty wants for all of mankind to be guided to the straight path and to possess good manners. It was for this reason that He has sent to them His messengers and our beloved Prophet (SAWS). In this ayah, we see a clear instruction to those people, who are unaware,  arrogant,  lie and are hypocrites (munafiqoon). “Believe as the others believe "( كَمَآ -Just as , Just like). It...

Speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah).

Quran (20:44) And speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." SubhanAllah, this ayah is a part of a dialogue between Musa (AS) and Allah (SWT). When Allah commanded Musa (AS) to  go to Pharaoh of Egypt and invite him to obedience to Allah.  There is no doubt in the fact that Pharoah was an oppressive tyrant. Yet in this ayah Allah commands Musa (AS) to speak to the most arrogant of people in a gentle way. This ayah contains a great lesson for us. The method of speech being used here to invite even the most arrogant ones is gentle soft and easy speech. If we need ourselves to be able to accept advise we need to be spoken to gently. This is a divine guidance from our Creator. He created us and hence He knows what is the best way to propagate his deen to us. It is through gentle speech. Through mercy and kindness. There is no attraction for anyone who yells or screams in anger in his sp...

Today's Reflection - [Ayah 11-12 ,Surah Baqarah]

وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ لَا تُفۡسِدُوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِۙ قَالُوۡاۤ اِنَّمَا نَحۡنُ مُصۡلِحُوۡنَ.‏ Whenever they are told: “Do not spread mischief on earth,” they say: “Why! We indeed are the ones who set things right.” ‏ They are the mischief makers, but they do not realize it. (2:12) Those who desire to cause fitnah of any kind knowingly , they conspire within themselves and believe that they are doing good for the rest of the community. They do not distinguish the right from the wrong and neither do they realize the intensity of their actions. In our day to day lives we come across this very often. especially when it comes to corrupt leaders. Corrupting the nation with their influence and thought process in the name of benefit. Unfortunately, they do not realize that they are causing fasaad (mischief) and sometimes they do realize it and they continue in their manner, because to these people w...

The deeds most loved by Allah (are those)done regularly, even if they are small.

Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) said: The deeds most loved by Allah (are those)done regularly, even if they are small.(Bukhari & Muslim) Such a beautiful advise our deen has for us .SubhanAllah. When all matters will be judged, on that day no excuse will be heard. What should we do now? It is our opportunity, isn't it? Remember, life is but a moment, it will pass quick and we’ll be resurrected. Then let’s discipline ourselves regarding what comes out of our speech, attitude, behavior and character. Ponder one more time about how small actions but done regularly can actually please Allah more than large acts that are carried out and are not consistent ?!And these habits can lead you to Jannah . What kind of efforts can we do everyday? Never ceases to count. Improve your knowledge in the deen, seek forgiveness, hangout with your good friends, eat with your right hand, always think positive, make dua for your parents, speak calmly and respectfully.

Today's Reflection [ Ayah 8-10, Surah Al-Baqarah]

And among the people are those who say , ‘We have faith in Allah and the Last Day,’ but they have no faith. يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلاّ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ (البقرة: 9) They seek to deceive Allah and those who have faith, yet they deceive no one but themselves, but they are not aware. فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمْ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ (البقرة: 10) There is a sickness in their hearts; then Allah increased their sickness and there is a painful punishment for them because of the lies they used to tell. As we have already seen two types of people in the previous ayahs, the believers and the disbelievers. In this ayah Allah mentions about the hypocrites who are amongst us, but we do not know, beware dear brothers and sisters as these people are pleasantly good in fron...

So, whoever does an atoms weight of good shall see it.

Quran 99:7 So, whoever does an atoms weight of good shall see it. This is an ayah which is straight forward in its meaning. Whoever does the smallest deed of good shall have it recorded in his book of deeds and the Hisaab(account) is with Allah. No person will be left without their share of reward for whatever good they do. Even if it is as tiny as an atom. It motivates man to do good in order to accumulate his account in the hereafter. The way we are always thinking of the dunya and how to protect our future through savings, a good home or a good ride, children’s education etc. similarly we are asked to take care of our permanent account with Allah that will be raised on the day of judgement by doing any good deed. Even if it means removing a thorn from someone's path. Rasool (SAWS) has advised us to save ourselves from the fire even if it means to give half a date fruit in charity or saying a good pleasant word. (Sahih Bukhari) ...

Today's reflection [ Ayah 6-7, Surah Al-Baqarah]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ.(٦) As for those who have rejected (these truths),  it is all the same whether or not you warn them, for they will not believe. (2:6) خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبْصَٰرِهِمْ غِشَٰوَةٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ.(٧) Allah has sealed their hearts  and their hearing, and a covering has fallen over their eyes. They deserve severe chastisement. (2:7) The meaning of the word 'kafaroo' كَفَرُوا  is to cover . In shariah it means to not accept the facts brought by the true religion or to conceal them or to ignore them. And these kind of people are called Kafiroon. Allah made the duty of his messengers to invite mankind to His deen whether they believe or not. Because only Allah knows who will believe and who will not. The virtues of it is so deep. In the present ayah meaning is, Allah said to his beloved prophet (SAWS) not to fe...

Today's reflection [Ayah 3-5, Surah Al- Baqarah]

(٣) for those who believe in the existence of that which is beyond the reach of perception,  who establish Prayer  and spend out of what We have provided them. (2:3) وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ.(٤) who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you, 7  and have firm faith in the Hereafter. (2:4) أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ.(٥) Such are on true guidance from their Lord; such are the truly successful. (2:5) A lot of the things that we need to believe in , to complete our Imaan (faith) are unseen. Such as Allah himself, the hereafter, the day of reckoning, heaven or hell, angels or satan. Believing in the unseen is a prime part of faith as it helps us navigate through life whether good times or bad times. We kno...

The one who eats and is grateful is like the status of the one who fasts and is patient.

الطَّاعِمُ الشَّاكِرُ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ             “The one who eats and is grateful is like the status of the one who fasts and is patient.”                                                              (Al-Thirmidhi  #2486) Being grateful is not to consider yourself worthy of all your blessings but it is to see by whom you have been provided these blessings. How can we be ungrateful to Allah?! To Whom belongs eve...

Today's reflection [ Ayah 1-2 , Surah Al-Baqarah]

الٓمٓ.(١) ذٰ لِكَ الۡڪِتٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَ ۛۚ ۖ فِيۡهِ ۛۚ هُدًى لِّلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَۙ.(٢)  ‏                         This is the Book of Allah, there is no doubt in it; 2  it is a guidance for the pious.(2:2) These three letters are the proof of the miraculous Quran. No body knows what it means SubhanAllah . Allah clearly mentions here that the Quran is the book in which there is no doubt (no mistake, no falsehood nothing). Ponder over it how perfect is this book which he has sent to us as a guide isn't it a blessing on us ? As Allah himself says “and We have revealed the Book to you explaining clearly everything" (16:89).  Wouldn't we wander blindly without it ? Use it as an instruction manual for our life as it covers every aspect of our life الحمدلله , when you are confused, stressed, worried, lost and even when you are shattered just look into the Quran and you will have the...
