Todays Reflection [Ayah 2 - Surah Al- Fatiha]


ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِين

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds

 

This one ayah can awaken our Imaan if we say it with complete feeling of how grateful we are towards our Rabb, the Creator, the Provider, the Sustainer of everything.

Look within yourself and around you, your health, your loved ones, your possessions, your daily meals, the safety and security of your land, your children, there is so much to be thankful for and praise the Almighty. Alhamdulillah

The opening verses of the Quran and the opening verses of the Salah are the same verses that praise and glorify Allah who has bestowed us with these bounties and mercies.

And when we start our prayer with these words is indeed a thought to ponder upon. It was the Sunnah of our beloved Rasool saws to repeat verses for reflection and contemplation. So, read this beautiful verse from today in your Salah with understanding and repeat with humility until you feel the Khushu within you rise. Subhan Allah

The difference is limitless...prodigious. Alhamdulillah

If you are grateful, He will surely increase you in favor (14:7)

  لَئِن شَكَرتُم لَأَزيدَنَّكُم If you are grateful, He will surely increase you in favor (14:7)   SubhanAllah such a beautiful ayah. In our day to day life, usually what happens when we do some one a favor, we expect them to thank us and appreciate us but when it comes to the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon us we seldom thank Allah. Allah blesses us abundantly and when we thank him sincerely for even a few of his blessing , he increases it ( gives us barakah) in it. How amazing is that? If you want barakah in any thing at all, just thank Allah constantly. Expecting appreciation and gratefulness  from people will only lead us to depression and ill feeling towards others. Today's Reflection (Ayah 58-59, Surah Al-Baqarah)

    وَ إِذْ قُلْنَا ادْخُلُوا هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَدًا وَادْخُلُوا الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُولُوا حِطَّةٌ نَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَايَاكُمْ ۚ وَسَنَزِيدُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ And recall that We said, “Enter this town, and eat plentifully from it whatever you wish; but enter the gate humbly, and say, 'Pardon.' We will forgive your sins, and give increase to the virtuous.” (Quran 2:58) فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا قَوْلًا غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا رِجْزًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ But the wrongdoers among them substituted words other than those given to them, so We sent down on the wrongdoers a plague from heaven, because of their wicked behavior.
